Parish Music

Christ the King Parish has an active music group. The leaders of the group, Kieron & Moira Boyle, have recorded several albums of music, much of it written and scored by them.

Kieron comments; "Moira and I first joined the Christ the King Music group run by Catriona Davies back in 1988. I was just learning to play the guitar at the time and hid away amongst the other more accomplished musicians. We had many young people in the group in those days as Catriona used to teach music to the children of some parishoners and it was good for them to be musically involved in Church life. In 1991 Catriona moved to Ireland for what was going to be a short break and asked Moira if she would be prepared to look after the group in her absence. Well you might have guessed, but we're still waiting for her to return!"
