Parish BBQ - August 21st

On Friday August 21st, a BBQ at Christ the King for a "parish get together". Tickets will be £6, children under 12, £1. There will be a donation bar and music. Please put your money in an envelope, marked BBQ with your name and number of tickets for adults and children, and place in the Offertory basket if no member of the Social Committee is in the church selling tickets.

The annual concert with the Patcham Silver Band will be on Saturday, September 12th, 7:30pm, at Christ the King. Tickets available from next week - Adults £4; accompanied children £1
Thanks - Charity Music Show
Thanks to Felicity Kimber for organising last Sunday's concert with Romeo Zucchi (Piano), and Gregorio Pedrini (Tenor). An excellent afternoon that raised £497.73 to be shared between the Sisters of Mercy hospital in Mutomo, Kenya, and the Infant Jesus Sisters School in Somo, Cameroon.

Christ the King Care Group Meeting - July 28th
As a result of the meeting on Tuesday, July 21st there will be a meeting on Tuesday, July 28th, 7:30pm in the Parish Room, to explore what we might offer if we had a Christ the King Care Group. Anyone who is interested will be most welcome.

St. Richard's Summer Show - July 15-17th
All are cordially invited to this year's Summer Show, 'The Comedy of Errors' by William Shakespeare, in a part musical version first staged by the RSC in 1976. New - SVP Meeting - July 21st
As a result of the meeting to explore what we might do if we had a Community Care Group, on Tuesday, July 21st at 7:30pm in the Parish Room at Christ the King, Helen James is coming along from Our Lady of Ransom parish to talk with us about the possibility of forming a branch of the SVP. Anyone who is interested will be most welcome.
Prayer Walking - July 22nd

There will be a prayer walk round the Crumbles on Wednesday 22nd July, starting at the Crumbles Thai Restaurant at 10am. We will be walking round the harbour to Haven School, to Ramsay Way, to Christ the King Church, arriving there at 1:30 -1:45 where the church will be opened for prayer. After proceeding to Kingsmere, the walk will end at 3pm. Please join us for all, or part of the walk, or join us at Christ the King Church for prayer. Ring Mary Maloney (768308) for further details.
Josie's Cream Teas - July 22nd

Charity Music Concert - July 26th
Afternoon of classical musical on Sunday 26th July at 3:30pm in Christ the King Church with the Italian duo Gregorio Pedrini, tenor singer and Romeo Zucchi, piano. Free entry with all proceeds of the concert going to support the hospital in Mutomo and the school in the Cameroons Please come and support us and enjoy a relaxing afternoon together for a good cause.

On Friday August 21st, it has been suggested that the Social Commitee hold a BBQ at Christ the King for a "parish get together". Tickets will be £6 with a donation bar and music. In order for this event to take place we need at least 40 people to attend. So over the next coming weeks until the July 26th there will be a list at the back of each church for you to put your names down.
