Parish | PastoralIt is hoped to form a care group within our Parish.
The aim is to offer help to parishioners with various problems such as transport at a time of crisis, filling in complicated forms, ensuring that people who have not been seen for a while are safe and well, etc. It is hoped to hold a meeting in a couple of weeks.
If you feel that this is something which might interest you, please down write your name, address, and phone number , and days and times when you would be able to come to such a meeting, and give it to me or Mary Hennelly.

ParishThe Sisters of Mercy, Mutomo, Kenya, would like to thank Fr. Barry and all parishioners of Christ the King, Holy Rood and St. Joachim for the generous gift of money at Easter. All money received is lodged to the " Sisters of Mercy Kenya Trust Fund " and details kept on file. It goes directly to where it is mostly needed and none is wasted.
Thank you again for your continued support, it is very much appreciated and you are always in our prayers.

PastoralThe Diocese of Arundel and Brighton working in partnership with East Sussex Local Authority have discussed with the Governors of both St. Thomas a Becket Infant and Junior Schools the possibility of forming a Federation between the two schools. The proposal, if agreed, will have the benefit of continuing to develop high quality education in the two schools.
Last week a letter was sent to a number of interested parties including all parents/carers who have children in the schools. This letter sets out more fully the reasons for the proposal to federate and also sets out a range of advantages. The letter also explains how and where responses are to be sent.
Federation essentially means that both schools will continue to be separate establishments but with a shared leadership and management structure at Headteacher and Governing Body levels. It will enhance the quality of education provision in both schools and in no way diminish it.
If you wish to have a copy of the proposal document then please visit the school.
