Philippine Independence Day Celebrations - July 3rd

Quiet reflection time on your own for about 20 minutes, ending with Tony Robinson with help from David Clines from Sheffield University, Jonathan Magonet, Principal of Leo Beck College, a cartoon of Cain and Abel, actress Juliet Stevenson, and a sketch on the story of Jonah.

Big SING - Thank You

St. Joachim's Maintenance Work

External work is approaching completion and that in the Sacristy is under way. The appearance of the front aspect of the church is now much improved. Because extra items have been added to the original project, the programme has been extended by about two weeks to towards the end of May. An electrical audit has been arranged for June 2nd/3rd., to be carried out by Peter Crouch. Peter Lloyd 723905.

The BIG SING - May 9th, 4pm

This Sunday is the BIG Sing in aid of Leukaemia at 4pm in Christ the King Church at Langney.
This is a Deanery event and needs to be supported by all the churches in our Deanery from Hailsham to Eastbourne to Newhaven. This is intended to be an event when we can all pull together for an excellent cause.
It does not matter if you are not an operatic singer, just remember that God gave you your voice and he must like it and want it to be used!
Please try to come, whether you have been sponsored or not, and raise the roof at Christ the King.
Teas/coffees will be available. If you can only manage a portion of the time you will be welcome.
We are going to sing 50 well known hymns, but not all verses of every hymn!
Everyone is welcome – the more the better!
