Celebrate CAFOD's 50th

On Saturday 20th March from 3 - 5.30pm the parishes and Catholic schools in the Deaneries of St Leonards and Eastbourne will join together at St Richard's Catholic College to celebrate the work of CAFOD.
Following an Opening Liturgy there will be a number of exhibitions, activities and workshops to help you learn more about CAFOD. Refreshments will be available, together with a Fairtrade stall and a closing liturgy.
Do come along and join the celebration.

Driven to Abstraction Art Show

Kieron Boyle who sings in the Christ the King Music group, is currently having his abstract photographic artwork exhibited in Artroom No. 9, situated at 9 Carlisle Road, Eastbourne(Theatres area). The exhibition entitled 'Driven to Abstraction' runs throughout the Winter. For those who are interested, the photos can be viewed there from 12am to 5pm Mon-Sat. (closed Wed.)

Congratulations and thanks to Anna,Stephen and all those involved in our annual production. It was a most enjoyable afternoon as always. What amazing talent! £325.52 was collected to educate children in Nigeria. Many thanks to all of you who supported this event.

Last Saturday's Fayre raised £1,200 which is a fantastic result. Many thanks to everyone who contributed in whatever way to this event and especially to its organiser Val Woods.

Patcham Silver Band - September 12th

The annual concert with the Patcham Silver Band will be on Saturday, September 12th, 7:30pm, at Christ the King. Tickets now available - Adults £4, accompanied children £1.
People who have heard the Silver Band in past years have recommended the concert as being a beautiful evening of a varied, sometimes amusing, programme of familiar, and not so well known, music. Something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy. Do come.

On Friday August 21st, a BBQ at Christ the King for a "parish get together". Tickets will be £6, children under 12, £1. There will be a donation bar and music. Please put your money in an envelope, marked BBQ with your name and number of tickets for adults and children, and place in the Offertory basket if no member of the Social Committee is in the church selling tickets.

Thanks to Felicity Kimber for organising last Sunday's concert with Romeo Zucchi (Piano), and Gregorio Pedrini (Tenor). An excellent afternoon that raised £497.73 to be shared between the Sisters of Mercy hospital in Mutomo, Kenya, and the Infant Jesus Sisters School in Somo, Cameroon.

Afternoon of classical musical on Sunday 26th July at 3:30pm in Christ the King Church with the Italian duo Gregorio Pedrini, tenor singer and Romeo Zucchi, piano. Free entry with all proceeds of the concert going to support the hospital in Mutomo and the school in the Cameroons Please come and support us and enjoy a relaxing afternoon together for a good cause.

On Friday August 21st, it has been suggested that the Social Commitee hold a BBQ at Christ the King for a "parish get together". Tickets will be £6 with a donation bar and music. In order for this event to take place we need at least 40 people to attend. So over the next coming weeks until the July 26th there will be a list at the back of each church for you to put your names down.

Thanks for your support. £136 has been sent to Catholic Children's Society and a cheque for £460 has been presented to the Parish. Eastbourne Catholic Cub Group - Cake Sale, March 15th

The 3rd Eastbourne Catholic Cub Group is raising money for the support of the Group. On March 15th at Christ the King, after Mass, there is a Cake Sale in the Parish Hall to help raise the money. Why not buy some cake while you enjoy a tea/coffee, or soft drink.
